How is the admission merit (CPN) calculated?
The Composite Percentage Number (CPN) is calculated using the official formula :
- 10% of your Matriculation (SSC) marks .
- 30% of your Intermediate (HSC) marks .
- 60% of your Pre-Entry Test score .
What are the passing marks for the entry test?
You must score a minimum of 40% in the Pre-Entry Test (PET) to be eligible for general Bachelor's degree programs . If you are applying for Law (LL.B), you need a minimum of 50% in the LAT .
Can I change my CNIC or B-Form number after registering?
No. Your CNIC or CRC (B-Form) number cannot be changed once your online registration is complete . You must enter your own correct CNIC very carefully when creating your admission portal account .
How and when do I get my entry test admit slip?
Admit cards are not generated immediately after you apply. You must wait until the online admission form submission date is fully closed . After the closing date, log in to your UoS e-portal account to download and print your slip .
What do I need to bring on the day of the test?
You are strictly required to bring your printed Pre-entry Test Slip / Admit Card along with your Original CNIC (or Original B-Form) .
Is there any negative marking in the entry test?
No, the general University of Sindh pre-entry test does not have negative marking. It is highly recommended that you attempt all 100 questions.
Can I apply before my Intermediate result is announced?
Yes. Students whose final Intermediate (HSC Part-II) results are delayed can usually apply on a "Result Awaiting" basis. However, your final admission will only be confirmed if your actual result meets the minimum percentage requirement for your selected department.
My photo or documents are rejected for the wrong size or format. What should I do?
First check the exact size, format and file-size limit in the official application instructions, then fix the file to match. For example, resize your photo and signature to the exact pixels and file size, and turn separate scans into one clean PDF. Free tools that run in your browser can do this, so your files stay on your device. Kagzo is another project by the same developer and is not part of the University of Sindh.
